Once You Form Your Band
When you have finally decided on your band members and
have formed
your band, it's time to produce your music and market yourself.
If you already have songs written, then you have a head
start.
It's time to refer back to what I mentioned earlier about
getting
discovered. Not every band can go on tour... for the most
part,
many of us are limited to performing in our hometowns and a few
neighboring areas, which unless you are in a major city, probably won't
get you discovered anytime soon.
But Don't Despair!

The times are different and so are the chances of
getting
discovered. There are so many different ways to market your
music, and most of them don't require a dime of your money!
There
is no way for me to tell you what is best for you because it's all
going to depend on your genre, your talent, time, and budget.
I
would highly recommend that you get a decent sounding E.P. out, and get
a video posted on -
YOUTUBE
Youtube has become so popular that pretty much everyone
knows
what it is, and has seen some videos on it. The great thing
about
Youtube is if you've got a creative great video (in your case a music
video), it won't take long for it to go viral. The only con
to
posting a video on Youtube is you have to sink about as much creativity
or more into the visual aspect of your video as you do the songs that
you are trying to promote. Whether you have the talents to
foster
that kind of creation is debatable. Just because you don't
know
anything about making a video, doesn't mean you can't learn!
